Eridonia Archives
Generative AI and Eridonia Archives.
I will NEVER use Generative AI to create primary content for my universe. I define primary content as:

-
Storylines, scripts, themes, plotlines and scenarios (For example timeline events, what happens in stories, events and anything that happens in my universe ever.

-
Creative text or writing (For example ANY body of text that describes an event, story, character, setting, including blog posts, background text in animations, character dialogue and subtitled text in videos, etc.

-
Primary Models and Assets (For example any models created in any software, including vehicles, spaceships, worlds, environments, characters, even background objects like crates and empty bottles. This includes their animations.

-
Symbols, flags, logos, emblems and icons etc (For example any flags or logos for my factions, nations, corporations, clans, people, etc, anything that is creative and represents something with iconography
I will, however, explore the use of Generative AI for secondary content, which is what I define as:

-
Background sub-assets (For example 'normal map' textures, textures that fill gaps in primary assets such as metal scratches or wood-effect that require factually accurate representation).

-
Sound Effects* (For example, mechanical whirrs of a motor, the whispers of a ghost (not scripted or a character, ambient effects, fire, explosions, gunshots, etc).

-
Music* (Musical scores used anywhere in the archives).
*Notes:

Currently, most of my productions (the vast majority) use sound effects recorded or designed professionally by Zapsplat.com with license. While I may explore the use of GenAI for creating sound effects, this will not likely replace Zapsplat for the majority of sounds. GenAI has been used in a few cases in the Archives for things I couldn't find on Zapsplat (such as ghostly voices). If that changes, this will be updated.

Most of my music is also sourced from inaudio.com with license, whether they use GenAI for their music is beyond my control - but I do select tracks with a lot of care (it takes hours to get the 'feel' lol).

In general, if I make major use of GenAI to create Music or Sound Effects, I will update this page and make it clear where it is used.
