(RP Animation) Pathfinder Hard Burn U-Turn

Physics dictates that the process of changing the course of a 15-million mass ton warship cruising at over a kilometre a second is not a simple process. The ship must spin on its forward axis, rotate 180 degrees and fire an equal or greater amount of thrust in the previous forward direction simply to slow down. Lateral sheering occurs when a vessel breaks apart along the super-structure due to competing inertial forces. To minimise this, the vessel must be almost perfectly aligned with the previous forward trajectory, in reverse.

This video demonstrates a reckless "Hard Burn U-Turn" maneuver conducted by the Legendary Battlecruiser Pathfinder, whos Captain follows a 'tradition' of such daring maneuvers.
