Anyone that reads my blog will likely be well aware of my passionate opposition to cryptocurrency mining on non-ASIC hardware (i,e throwing power away just for the sake of complexity for no real, tangible reason), and my passion for using said computer power for actual, real pro-humanity gain. Well, that creates a nice recipe for someone who hates me to accuse me of benefit fraud.
Well, without mentioning any names, I know it's likely a member of my 'family', probably my cousin since the Compliance Officer I was talking to on the phone (actually, more screaming and having a BPD episode, while being polite to him - it's not his fault) mentioned I'd been reported for something to do with Bitcoin. Or it could have been anyone with access to my address from the register on this website domain and an axe to grind with dear old Sash.
Regardless, whoever it was, it's settled, and the case is closed after I made some particularly persuasive points regarding the utter incompetence of the support network for people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and other mental health issues, here in the town I live. Maybe if the government had spent half as much money on benefits for me, on actually giving me the support I need - work placements, cough, cough - I would be in work and paying taxes by now. But, no.
Anyway, it doesn't matter because the case is closed. Of course, if Compliance Officers would like to visit my home and search my online accounts, possessions, etc, for any evidence of trading any form of cryptocurrency; they are more than welcome to. I will provide passwords and access credentials to all relevant accounts to all relevant authorities because, well, I don't have anything to do with Cryptocurrency; much less mining the damn stuff when I could be doing something far, far more important with that compute power.
Furthermore, if you do have an axe to grind with me; and know my address; feel free to pop over so we can sort it out in-person. And by that, I mean I'll have an axe to grind with you, in more ways than one. If you know what I mean.
I mean that. It's at that point now. I'd die for the things I'm passionate about and I'd die defending myself from vindictive scum. So let's party.
